The military diet is shown to be the quickest way to kick start your metabolism which effectively leads to weight loss. However, you need to stay committed to the plan in order to see some results.
The military diet consists of three days of eating low calorie foods, which is then followed by four days of measuring around 1200-1500 calories.
Day 1
Breakfast; ½ a grapefruit, 1 slice of wholegrain toast with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter spread on top, 1 cup of coffee or tea
Lunch; 1 slice of wholegrain toast, ½ a cup of tuna with 1 cup of coffee or tea
Dinner; 85 grams of any meat (your preference), 1 cup of green beans, a small apple, ½ a banana and 1 cup of vanilla ice cream
Day 2
Breakfast; 1 slice wholegrain toast, 1 hard- boiled egg, ½ a banana
Lunch; 5 saltine crackers, 1 hard- boiled egg and a cup of cottage cheese
Dinner; 2 hot dogs without the bun, ½ cup of broccoli, ½ cup of carrots, ½ banana and ½ cup of vanilla ice cream.
Day 3
Breakfast; 1 slice of cheddar cheese with 5 saltine crackers and an apple
Lunch; 1 slice of wholegrain toast, 1 egg cooked to your preference
Dinner; Cup of tuna, ½ banana, 1 cup of vanilla ice cream with no snacks in between
Hot beverages with no sugar are allowed.
This diet cuts out calories for weight loss so the intense 3 day diet is going to be effective.
